- See what people says about this ductless air conditioning "I have had my Amvent 12000 BTU 1 Ton Ductless Wall Mount Mini Split Room Air Conditioner for several weeks now and it works very well.The only problem I have had is that the unit is in the bedroom and the display is very bright.I have not researched it well and there may be a way to dim or turn off the display.A business card and tape take care of that now.Some reviews complained that the unit does not cool well and that is probably because of not vacuum evacuating the system properly at installation,which does require a special pump.I got my unit installed and all ready except the evacuation and final connection to the outside assembly.A local AC guy came by on his off time and finished that part and charged me $45.It is a simple procedure if you have the pump and only took a few minutes.I live in a small town so that has to be factored in.Other than the evacuation issue,the installation is straight forward and most should be able to handle it.I was fortunate that my unit was close to a breaker box so electrical was not a problem.Overall I am very pleased w/ the unit and SAVED A LOT BY GETTING THIS UNIT!!!"
- Other customer said "The unit cools really really well,and it was pretty simple to install,however at the end of the installation it requires air and humidity be pumped out of the condenser, a tool only ac guys have. you can end up spending another 150-450on this part.The people who have had issues w/ this unit,are probably the people who bypassed this requirement.Not pumping the junk out will damage the unit,it is definitely a must!Other then that,if installed properly you can not go wrong w/ this unit.For the money,this is without a doubt THE BEST AC YOU CAN INVEST YOUR MONEY IN!!"
